MEET OUR CHAIRMAN / CHANCELLOR
A prominent entrepreneur, Dr. Manchanayakke has played a pivotal role in bridging the gap in offering quality and affordable education opportunities to the larger population of Sri Lanka. His inclusive approach towards education and a strong commitment to providing educational opportunities in urban and rural areas around the country, have made him a highly respected professional in Sri Lanka’s private education sector. Prior to his academic career, Dr. Manchanayakke served in various local and international organizations in senior leadership positions. Since 1992 he has played a prominent role in promoting business opportunities in Sri Lanka’s IT & Communication Infrastructure education by being a part of several missions to the USA, Europe and Asian countries. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Federation of IT industry in Sri Lanka (FITIS) and the Vice Chairman of ASOCIO (Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization), which is a collective of IT industry associations from economies in the Asia and Oceania region.
